Dear Customers,

In fresh weeks, we have been regularly informing you about adverse effects on our connections to/from the Adriatic.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that the situation on the Slovenian Railways continues not to improve, we were one more time forced to adjust the train scheduling. Last week we were again forced to reorganise our trains from/to Koper and cancel 18 pairs of trains due to a combination of unfavourable circumstances on the full railway network of the Slovenian infrastructure.

Summary of extraordinary events:
• 26/08/2024 at 6:50 p.m. the road closure between Sava – Zagorje ended, as a consequence of which the velocity was reduced to 30 km/h.
• 27/08/2024 between 7:41 a.m. and 9:25 a.m., close Litija station, a failure of the ERSVN safety devices was reported.
• 27/08/2024 between 9:30 a.m. and 1:57 p.m., along the Rakek – Postojna section, line harm was reported, causing traffic slowdowns.
• 27/08/2024 between 9:31 a.m. – 4:06 p.m., EAN 6/1 was activated on the Trbovlje – Zagorje section.
• 27/08/2024 at 10:27 a.m., EAN 6/1 was activated on the Trbovlje – Hrastnik section.
• 27/08/2024 between 10:40 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., the left railway track was closed between Zidani Most and Breg due to harm to the infrastructure.
• 27/08/2024 at 4:21 p.m., EAN 6/1 was activated between Zagorje – Trbovlje.
• 27/08/2024 at 11:26 a.m. between Trbovlje – Zagorje, the landslide sensor was activated. After inspection, it was found that the sensor sent an incorrect message, the device was subsequently repaired.
• 29/08/2024 at 2:03 p.m., an extraordinary road closure was introduced between Zagorje – Sava due to rail damage. The damaged left railway track was repaired.
• 30/08/2024 between 5:24 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., an extraordinary railway lockout was introduced at Ilirska Bistrica station due to deformation of the railway track.
• 31/08/2024 between 2:55 a.m. – 5:05 a.m., traffic was suspended at Koper tovorna station due to harm to the switch.
• 31/08/2024 between 12:45 p.m. – 1:45 p.m., a power outage was reported at Lj. Zalog station.
• 31/08/2024 between 4:54 p.m. and 6:20 p.m., an extraordinary road closure was introduced along the Rakek – Postojna section due to deformation of the railway track.
• 31/08/2024 between 4:10 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., traffic on the Italian network was stopped along the Bivio D’Aurisina – Monfalcone section due to a fire.

In addition, we already have information about another 36-hour planned closure on the Divaca – Koper way between 15/09/2024 7:00 a.m. – 16/09/2024 7:00 p.m.

Unfortunately, this deficiency of capacity will affect the transit time of our trains to/from Koper. We are constantly monitoring the situation and will keep you informed in case of fresh information.
