Delayed Clearance at the Port of Hamburg, Update No.1

Dear Customers,

With respect to our study last week regarding the delays in clearance at the Port of Hamburg, we would like to inform you of the current situation on the railway.

Although the HPA authority cancelled the disposition to Hamburg, delays on services to and from Northen German ports continue. During the period of validity of this regulation, we were not able to dispatch a regular number of trains, which disrupted the planned circulation of trains. This situation has resulted in delayed train departures, drivers with limited work capacity and an overflow of import containers at terminals, for which we are requesting additional slots.

We are continuously monitoring the situation and are in intensive discussions with HPA and DB to get additional options for our trains and minimise the impact on our services. Nevertheless, delight let for delays erstwhile planning your shipments.
