Delayed Clearance at the Port of Hamburg – Update No. 2

Dear Customers,

Allow us to inform you about the current situation at the Port of Hamburg.

The port terminals are again reporting an increase in delays, to which the Hamburg Port Authority responded on the afternoon of 24/03/2025, due to overcrowded railway capacities, by announcing a fresh dispositive arrival of all trains.

According to information from Burchardkai terminal, staff meetings will be held here on 27/03/2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. There may be restrictions on clearance during these times.

The short period of more or little average operation since the cancellation of the last regulation by the HPA was not adequate to completely reduce the overhang of import container ships and stabilise the circulation of our sets.

The renewed restrictions, together with the current closures, will unfortunately bring further delays to connections to/from North German ports.

We are constantly monitoring the situation and trying to negociate maximum slots and passages for the transport of your shipments.
