Ice and sleet are complicating the situation on roads and railways in many places. Frozen switches and ice on overhead lines have completely shut down any sections. The weather is besides having an impact on terminal operations in the affected countries.
Czech Republic – Traffic stopped due to ice in central Bohemia, trains are not being accepted even in Děčín.
Germany – 21 trains are inactive stopped on their way to Hamburg, incapable to start due to frozen traction lines. Ports in Northern Germany are working. HPA continues to control entry into Hamburg.
Netherlands – RSC without any major problems.
Poland – Trains are running, no crucial problems reported.
Austria – Service suspended due to freezing rain. Trains are not moving to/from Austria, including transit trains. Connections are suspended in Slovakia and Budapest.
Slovakia – Trains are delayed but inactive running.
Hungary – Trains are inactive running, but freezing rain is beginning to complicate the situation.
Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Romania – Trains are running, no crucial problems reported.
