Dear Customers,
The ICS2 strategy is expected to be implemented at the end of 2025, and we would like to inform you about it in a timely manner.
Import Control strategy 2 (ICS2) is an advance shipment information strategy designed to improve safety in global trade and throughout the supply chain.
All economical operators (EOs) must submit safety and safety data to the ICS2 strategy via an Entry Summary Declaration (ENS) if they:
- import goods into the EU from 3rd countries
- transport goods through the EU in transit from a country outside the EU to a country outside the EU, passing through at least 1 EU country
- transport goods within the EU, known as Intra EU Trade, where the transport passes through at least 1 non-EU country.
Based on ENS, all goods are subject to safety and safety hazard analysis and better targeted controls. ICS2 helps to better identify high-risk shipments and intervene at the most appropriate point in the supply chain while facilitating the legal flow of goods.
Given that the aim of the fresh strategy is to guarantee the most detailed information possible on all item entering the EU, our customers will be required to supply EORI numbers and registration details for all buyers and sellers. We will request EORI numbers if the buyer is from the EU or the sender is part of Intra EU trade.
Without this detailed information, it will not be possible to clear goods across the border.
We thank you for your cooperation and believe that together we will manage the full process without any problems.
