Operational Situation in Northern Europe – Update No. 14

polzug.pl 2 dni temu

Dear Customers,

We would like to inform you about the current operational situation within the northern part of the METRANS network.

In general, the situation in northern German ports remains unchanged: import connections are full booked respective weeks in advance, and the volume of import shipments accumulated at the ports remains highly high.

Hamburg: New complications have arisen due to adverse weather conditions (ice and snowfall), which are further slowing down operations overall. Terminals are operating with limitations and delays, and CT Burchardkai has completely suspended train handling. Access to the port is subject to traffic management by the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA).

  • PL: Delays of 1–2 days in both directions due to ongoing irregular rolling stock circulation.
  • DE: Due to delays at both port and inland terminals, we were forced to cancel respective trains.

Bremerhaven: The port is presently not accepting trains due to freezing rain. In both directions, delays are occurring due to crucial irregularities in rolling stock circulation.

Gdańsk: Import trains are presently full booked until 21 February 2026. Otherwise, the situation remains unchanged: trains are moving on time; however, the capacity of planned terminal slots at Baltic Hub has been reduced by 30% for this week. We have not yet received approval for an additional ad-hoc train planned for next week.
