Operational situation in northern German ports

Dear Customers,

In newsletter 088/2025, we informed you about the Bremen–Bremerhaven closure, which limited our connections to/from the port of Bremerhaven from October 2 to October 6, 2025.

We expected the situation to stabilize, but present brought a series of events that one more time disrupted smooth operations in the area of northern German ports.

There was a malfunction at railroad crossings in Bremen and Loxstedt, a failure of safety equipment in Oslebshausen, and, unfortunately, a collision between a train and a individual in Bremen. The subsequent restrictions have a negative impact on our connections to/from northern German ports. They completely prevent the movement of trains, which makes it impossible for us to choice up import shipments from Hamburg. respective connections so had to be completely cancelled.

We are working on alternate solutions and improvements to the current situation.
