Operational situation on the German railway – Update No.1

Dear Customers,

We follow up on our Friday newsletter No. 060/2025 with the latest news.

Early this morning the HPA cancelled the government for trains entering the port of Hamburg on permission. However, the ongoing restrictions and delays at the terminals have caused an accumulation of delays of our import and export connections. On the way to Hamburg, we presently have 6 trains of the DE national service stopped.

In addition, we are forced to reduce the capacity of our trains due to the Elbe Valley closure.

We would like to remind you of the ongoing closure in the Elbe Valley and the upcoming closure of the approach track to Waltershof Hamburg. Both events were announced in our newsletter No. 044/2025, which you can read here.

We are inactive in contact with all parties active and we are trying, despite the limited extra slots, to deliver shipments to their destinations.
