New Regulations for Reporting Container Weights at the CTS Salzburg terminal

Dear Customers,

We would like to inform you that CTS Container Terminal Salzburg GmbH has introduced fresh regulations for checking the weight of goods (see the attached letter from CTS). This measurement is aimed at ensuring safety both at the container terminal and during subsequent rail transport. The declared weight of the goods must match the booked weight. A deviation of up to 250 kg per TEU is permitted.

We kindly ask you to notify us of the correct weight of the goods (excluding container tare weight) at least 1 hr before transportation to the Salzburg Container Terminal. delight note that CTS reserves the right to refuse to unload the containers from the truck or accept them if the information provided does not match. Any resulting additional costs must be declined in advance by us, METRANS a.s.

A test phase is presently underway, and the final implementation of the fresh regulations is scheduled for November 10 (see the attached letter from CTS).
