Dear Customers,

Today, we have again prepared the latest updates from the northern part of the METRANS network.

For northern German ports in general, it applies that import services are full booked weeks in advance, and the volume of import shipments accumulated in the ports is enormous.

Hamburg: HPA has lifted traffic control present after almost a month. Although port terminals are operating with delays of respective hours only, their capacities are exceeded and they are incapable to supply any additional handling volumes. Regulations imposed by DB InfaGO are inactive in place. We proceed to face a shortage of train sets for imports, and overall operations stay slowed down.

Bremerhaven: After the fresh snowfall, import trains have resumed operations with delays. We are making all effort to minimize the backlog.

Gdańsk: The Baltic Hub terminal is gradually reducing handling delays, and our trains are besides approaching the regular timetable. Import services stay full booked until 12 February 2026. As shortly as possible, we will apply for additional ad-hoc trains.

Rotterdam / Duisburg: Services are operating without major issues.

Poland: Railway capacity is locally affected by ice formation on overhead lines. The railway infrastructure manager PKP PLK is regulating border crossings into Poland.

We hope that the situation will let us to gradually return to average operations.
