Dear Customers,
We would like to inform you about circumstances affecting our services to/from the Port of Hamburg.
We have already been receiving reports from all sea terminals of the Port of Hamburg about delays since Thursday.
Due to this overload, a regulation has been reintroduced at CTA terminal, where acceptance of an export container is conditional upon removal of an import container.
For the reasons mentioned above, the number of stopped trains to Hamburg is increasing. From Saturday 26/10, 9:40 a.m., the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) has decided to introduce a confirmation strategy for disposable arrivals in Hamburg. Trains standing idle in the direction of Hamburg are waiting for capacity allocation. The circulation of trains and locomotives is severely restricted by this, and import trains are besides delayed as they cannot depart until the export trains are unloaded.
We are in contact with the applicable authorities of each terminal to find possible solutions together, and we are working to deploy additional capacity.
For circumstantial questions, delight contact our client Service. We are very sorry that, despite our best efforts, it is not possible to guarantee the smooth transportation of your shipments.
Thank you for understanding.
