Dear Customers,
We hope that this week, thanks to the temporary end of the lockout in the Elbe Valley, we will see affirmative developments in the overall situation.
The demonstration in Hamburg, which we informed you about, ended on Friday at around 4 p.m. Later that afternoon, the Hamburg Port Authority besides ended regulated arrivals.
As of this morning, with a fewer exceptions, we managed to reconstruct the operation of our services. We are working on the remaining cases. In order for the situation to improve and for us to have a chance to reconstruct the controlled circulation of train sets and personnel, we had to proceed with the cancellation of 20 trains, despite our philosophy. In the coming days, we will proceed to utilise all connections to the fullest degree possible and strive to dispatch peculiar trains to deliver containers that have been stuck in ports for the reasons mentioned above.
However, based on reports from the Hamburg terminals, we are forced to inform you that in any cases, handling delays are reaching up to 40 hours. Of course, this fact complicates the operation.
Trains to/from Wilhelmshaven are inactive being slowed down by restricted traffic across the Hunterbrücke bridge. This measurement is expected to stay in place until the beginning of December. Unfortunately, peculiar trains in this direction are not possible.
We must besides remind you that closures in the Elbe Valley will proceed from 13/11/2025 to 16/11/2025, with services suspended between 8:50 a.m. and 6:50 p.m., followed by another full closure from 2/12/2025 to 10/12/2025.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience. If you have any questions regarding circumstantial shipments, delight contact our client Service.
