Our GermanPorts ID – Update No. 1

Dear Customers,

As we informed you in our newsletter No. 096/2025 on September 16, 2025, the procedure for the digital release of full import containers began in northern German ports at the beginning of this month.

Shipping companies are gradually joining the process, followed by port terminals in November. Until the terminals are connected, a corresponding PIN is required to choice up a container.

We would so like to ask you to send us the PIN for picking up containers from shipping companies that have already been activated straight as part of your order, or to supply us with the PIN as shortly as the shipping company releases the container.

To get a PIN, you request to registry on the German Ports website and proceed with “Downgrade to PIN.”

All instructions can be found at www.germanports.com. At the bottom of the German Ports homepage, you will besides find a agenda showing the dates on which shipping lines and terminals will be connected to the system.
